How Is a Wall Saw Machine Different from Other Cutting Equipment?


Many first-time buyers confuse wall saws with wire saws and floor saws.
In reality, each machine has a different job.
A wall saw machine is designed for flat vertical walls.
A wire saw handles irregular structures and extra-deep cuts.
A floor saw cuts concrete slabs and roads.
For most door openings, window openings, and elevator shafts, a wall saw is the better choice.
Tip: If the cutting depth exceeds 730 mm, switch to a wire saw.
Which Type Should Beginners Choose?
There are three common options.

Standard Electric Wall Saw
Good for light-duty projects and limited budgets.
High Frequency Wall Saw
A good choice when only 220V power is available.
It offers higher power than standard electric models while remaining easy to move.
Hydraulic Concrete Wall Saw

Tip: If you cut concrete for more than four hours a day, choose hydraulic.

- What power supply is available?
- How many hours will you work each day?
These answers matter more than your budget.
As a simple guide:
- Up to 300 mm: standard wall saw
- Around 500 mm: high frequency wall saw
- Above 600 mm: hydraulic wall saw
